NEW CLIENT FORM

UNCROPPEDDOBERMANS

I started at Haiku as a client. My first memory of the clinic was when my father who at the time was an accountant for the clinic took me there to meet Dr. Elison and then at age 8 when Dr. Elison saved the life of my lovebird. Later while in Middle school and High School I volunteered at Haiku, I started working for the clinic in 2001 and have watched the clinic double in physical size and triple in staff size.

MY PETS

All'Lee
ALL'LEE
Breed: Canine (three legged Vizsla Mix)
Age: 1

All'Lee was brought into the clinic with a shattered leg, his previous owner was unable to afford his surgery so All'Lee was signed over to the clinic and became the first and hopefully last leg amputation Dr. Dale will ever have to preform... She did an AMAZING job, She did such a great job that All'Lee has no idea he only has 3 legs and often starts trouble with dogs twice his size requiring his pack of Dobermans to back him up.
Bobby Bentley
BOBBY BENTLEY
Breed: feline (Manx - Domestic Long hair mix)
Age: 1

Bobby Bentley was brought into the clinic to be neutered by a concerned client who was trying to prevent any more feral cats being born around their house. While we had no intention on keeping him and thought we had a home for him, this adorable little crooked tail kitten ended up staying. Now this 7 pound cat enjoys bullying an 83 pound Doberman "Kahu" and playing with his best friends All'Lee and Le'a
Diva De Divan
DIVA DE DIVAN
Breed: Canine (Doberman)
Age: 14

I adopted Diva from a client of Haiku when her daily care became to much to handle, at the time she was unable to walk and we later discovered she had a broken neck. Amazingly with physical therapy, swimming and a lot of time and love Diva regained the ability to walk. However her favorite place and she spent 22 hours of the day there was her couch which is why we renamed her Diva of the Couch. She was a loved member until November of 2005. Kahu Kupa'a Lewa
KAHU KUPA'A LEWA
Breed: Canine (Doberman)
Age: 2

After Kupa'a and Manu passing away within a week of each other, as a Veterinary tech I felt a huge hole in my life and I started looking to adopt a Doberman in need but none were available at the time. So I purchased Kahu from a breeder in Kailua when he was 8 weeks old. Kahu LOVES going in the clinic almost as much as he loves heading to the dog park or going hiking. But he has grown up coming into the clinic and visiting my co-workers, which watching his reaction to them I'm sure he thinks of as his Aunties and Uncles.
Khloe Ku'uipo
KHLOE KU'UIPO
Breed: Canine (Australian Cattle Dog)
Age: 10

Khloe was adopted from the Hawaiian Humane Society in 2000, she now lives on the Big island with my brother and is enjoying retirement and being the only dog in the house.
Kupa'a Kia'i Ilio
KUPA'A KIA'I ILIO
Breed: Cainine (Doberman)
Age: 12

I adopted Kupa'a as a puppy from HHS in 1999 after volunteering there for just 2 months. I soon realized I'd always have to have a Doberman in my life and became a strong advocate for this amazing and misunderstood breed. Sadly after a 3 year battle with Dilated Cardiomyopathy,a disease many Doberman suffer from I lost him in 2008. RIP Kup 1999-2008
Lava
LAVA
Breed: Canine (Doberman)
Age: 5

Lava was recently adopted from the Hawaiian Humane Society after his previous owner stopped caring for him. When I first met Lava a year ago after being re-homed to his last owner he was a massive 110 pounds, when we adopted him in March of 2010 he was a bony 87 pounds. Picture is of Lava, his half sister Kitty and half Brother Fisher
Le'a Le'a
LE'A LE'A
Breed: Feline (Domenstic Short Hair)
Age: 2

Le'a and her sister Pa'ani (owned by Jess haiku's receptionist) were brought into the clinic as strays. upon joining my family Le'a soon took control and now has all the dogs under her dewclaws, especially Kahu who adores his kitten.
Manu Hoomake
MANU HOOMAKE
Breed: Feline (DSH)
Age: 9

Manu was brought into the clinic as a 4 week old kitten in need of a home, and being an orange male tabby cat he quickly stole my heart. Manu became best friends with my late Doberman Kupa'a and the two passed away together. RIP Manu 2001-2008
